➣(Add New Source):
- Add a Source with the (+) button located on the Home page. If source is unavailable, use Force It! on Info page.
- After a source is successfully added, toggle it on/off, etc.
- Press (Apply) in the upper left. Doing so will tell Cydia to use enabled sources. The (Apply) button is important, and you need to remember completing it. Its function is also connected to other features within the app.
- Open Cydia and refresh sources. Added sources will be visible once the refresh is complete.
➣(Duplicates):
- Only one source can be active at a time via(CSoures2 or Cydia). If you add a source in Cydia, and add the same source to CSources2. Remove the source from Cydia, or toggle OFF the source in CSources2.
- Duplicates in CSources2, could result from sources with beta sites, where they advertise duplicate names for the official and beta sites. As long as the addresses do not match, then its not a real duplicate.
➣(Edit):
- Edit allows the removal of a no longer needed source. You can also swipe left.
- If source is enabled via CSources2, you must disable it, then Apply. Now you can remove from CSources2. Or just remove from CSources2, toggle any source on/off to enable the Apply button, press Apply.
➣(Favorite) Mark As:
- Long press any source for 2 seconds. Select Favorite
➣(New Source) Mark As:

➣(Source Details & Edit Source):
Selecting a source will open a detail page.
Source Detail Features:
- Package Count: Displays total packages per repository. Values may change after refreshing Cydia, or using apt-get update or Aptitude update, in which case use the Refresh button again.
- Sources Connection: Will display results after refreshing, ie Down, Active, forbidden.
- Source: Enabled/Disabled per your toggle selection.
- Notes Section: Single Tap on notes to edit. Single Tap on repo icon, or save to dismiss keyboard.
- Complete Packages Details. Double tap to use a simple search.
- Refresh: Tapping the refresh button will attempt to update package count, repo icon, and package details. You can also Refresh All sources. Please note this may take some time depending on total sources & connection speed.
- Refresh All: (beta) Will refresh all CSources2 sources data. Recommend: turn on all sources using the AutoLists, All On button. Then open Terminal, type apt-get update. Return to CSources2 and select the Refresh All.
- Terminal: If you have a terminal app installed, the Terminal button will be enabled.
- Cydia: Open Cydia by selecting the Cydia button.
Edit Source Feature:
- Repository: Change the name of the repo.
- Address: Change repository address. Must start with http:// or https://
- Enable/Disable: Self exp.
- Notes: Another notes editor.
- Save: Once you change info the Save button will become available.
Please note:
- You may need to refresh Cydia for the details to update. The best method is to use a terminal app, utilizing apt-get update, or aptitude update. You will need APT 0.7, or Aptitude and a Mobile Terminal app. I’m looking into implementing this, so keep your fingers crossed.
➣(Force It):
- Forcing a new Repository, will create a new source for Cydia. Internet and Repository verification will not be performed at this time. So, if the source you entered is an invalid source, when you apply the changes, which updates Cydia. Cydia will most likely give an error and/or hang. CSources2 will have similar results when refreshing source.
➣(Backup & Restore):
- Restore will allow you to sync back your sources when you are forced to restore your device.
- Backup is used in order to perform a Restore latter.
Please note, this backup/restore is not associated with the (Apply) backups which are created when you change a sources enable status. You can also use the Restore feature to update Repository info, etc. Before doing so, make sure all toggles are set to your preference, then Apply it to Cydia. Next Backup those changes. Then Restore. Depending on the total Repositories you have acquired, the restore process may take some time.
