“Please note: Read below documentation completely.

If you used CSources2 before then you should be Restoring from a backup.

If you want to import long lists use Send Friend , Import Friend , or Web Link feature.”

Implemented: v600.840-2 & above.

v600.840-0 – 600.840-1 go here.

v600.830-0 & below go here.

(Import Cydia Options):

You can import your Cydia Sources via.cydia.list“.

  • (Sources added in Cydia using the + in Cydia).

or you can import a ????.list file you personally made.

  • (????.list file you created and added to the sources.list.d folder).

or you can import a ????.cxpt file

redzrex: has created an example on the Reddit web Site.

JonLuca: has direct link via github.

You can use Import Cydia more than once. Each Import will generate a new .cxpt file to compare to latter. Perform steps 2-5 for multiple file imports.

  1. Import the cydia.list first, If you already manually added sources to Cydia in Cydia. If not then do step 2.
  2. Import the ????.list if you want to import a personal file.
  3. Using Import Friends , Compare then import the new .cxpt file.
  4. Backup CSources2.
  5. If importing another file, restart from step 2.

(Rules):

If importing from cydia.list

  1. Select Import Cydia located on the (i)nfo page.
  2. Select the (i) button, to initiate an import.
  3. CSources2 will locate all applicable ????.list files in the sources.list.d folder.
  4. Select cydia.list
  5. When complete , a new .cxpt file will be generated and added to the inbox folder.
  6. Open Import Friend and compare the new .cxpt file.
  7. Review (Common Sense Approach) below.

If importing from ????.list file, not created by Cydia or CSources2

review: Import Personal List and make sure the file you wish to import is in the correct format.

  1. Select Import Cydia located on the (i)nfo page.
  2. Select the (i) button, to initiate an import.
  3. CSources2 will locate all applicable ????.list files in the sources.list.d folder.
  4. Select ?????.list file.
  5. When complete , a new .cxpt file will be generated and added to the inbox folder.
  6. Open Import Friend and compare the new .cxpt file.
  7. Review (Common Sense Approach) below.

Both methods when completed, will require you to use the Import Friend feature to compare your current list against your current CSources2 list. If new sources are detected, you can then import them.

(v800.1011 & up fixes below issue)

IF YOU ARE RUNNING CSources2 v600.933 AND BELOW

AFTER EACH SUCCESSFUL IMPORT:

IF YOU IMPORTED THE cydia.list file, REMOVE EACH SOURCE IN CYDIA VIA CYDIA.

IF YOU IMPORTED A PERSONAL ????.list FILE, REMOVE/DELETE THE ????..list FILE MANUALLY VIA CSources2 “Clean” feature, iFile, OR ANY FILE MANAGER.

FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN CYDIA REPORTING DUPLICATE SOURCES.

Cydia errors will exist if sources are toggled On in CSources2 and cydia.list file still contains the same user added sources or the imported ????.list file still exists in the sources.list.d folder after importing and Apply is pressed.

➣(Common Sense Approach):

  1. Import a .list file located in the sources.list.d folder using Import Cydia feature.
  2. Open Import Friend and compare the new imported .cxpt file.
  3. If new sources are found, press (i) to import them.
  4. CSources2 will ask if you want to update your list, select Yes.
  5. Done

You now have 2 options:

  1. You can undo changes by going to Backup/Restore page and press Restore.
  2. You can make the new list official by going to Backup/Restore and press Backup. Then press Restore to download sources data. Then if all of your sources are correct. Toggle On your desired sources. Press Backup again, so you can Restore latter.

Don’t Forget:

  1. Remove duplicate Cydia sources via Cydia in Cydia..( v600.???)
  2. Remove the ????.list File. “DO NOT REMOVE cydia.list or saurik.list file.( v600.???)
  3. Toggle On and Apply sources in CSources2 to tell Cydia which sources to use.
  4. Refresh Cydia.

Common error because ????.list file is in the incorrect format!
